WELL BEING: One Brain Therapy

25 May

Got stress?

These days, “I’m stressed out” is practically a universal mantra. In my own experience as a natural health practitioner, I have found that younger and younger people are experiencing more tension than ever.   Perhaps it is the pressures of society but anxiety levels are at an all-time high especially for our youth.  All that spells tension head-aches, quick tempers and hamstrings tied up tighter than piano strings.

No matter what your age, it’s hard to relax as stress invades your sleep and leisure time.  What to do?

Sports, yoga, retail therapy.  Maybe you’ve tried it all.  But let me introduce you to a unique brand of therapy that takes the pain out of reducing stress.  In fact, it is often called “Stress DE-fusion.”

One Brain Stress DE-fusion is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that looks surprisingly like a traditional sit-down counselling session.  The big difference is that there is no need to talk about the stress week after week, year after year.  Once the emotional “stress issue” is identified, this therapy offers tools to diffuse the stress immediately.

“One Brain is a new and unique approach, to locate and correct stressors that may be causing dyslexia, fears or anything that is limiting you from creating what you want for yourself.”   Lauren Bergland

Originally, One Brain was created to help children with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia.  By attuning both sides of the brain to accomplish a goal, the short-wired effect of stress is ultimately deleted. The One Brain system acknowledges the idea that stress diminishes awareness and when stress is a part of learning something new, it becomes an essential part of the action and, in response, interferes with the ability to learn.

As this particular brand of learning rehabilitation caught on, One Brain creators began to realize how much this attunement can help adults under emotional duress.

A good example of this is to imagine you are going to start a new exercise program.  One half of your brain is excited with motivation and believes in your new goal while the other half of your brain says “ya right.” Self-induced limitations due to the brains left and right hemispheres being out of alignment can literally block you from your goals by causing anxiety and an immobilized feeling.

Using kinesiology in addition to visualization and relaxation techniques allows for both the frontal and occipital lobes of the brain to synchronize.

One Brain Therapy has proven remarkably effective for a wide variety of stress issues including:

    • Addictions
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Dyslexia and Other Learning Disabilities
    • Job and School Performance
    • Low Self-Esteem
    • Phobias
    • Weight Loss

I have the great honor of being one of only 3000 One Brain therapists the world over.  For more information or to book a Stress DE-fusion / Peace IN-fusion appointment, please visit http://www.lynnvannoy.com or contact me at lynnvannoy@gmail.com

  1. Marcia and the Art of Embracing a Better Me (or You) | terrypetersen - January 20, 2016

[…] One brain therapy works for me because I don’t have problems that keep me from living life. I have blocks that keep me from reaching for the sky. No, I won’t harness every lofty goal, but why not try? Why not make the world a better place, simply by being in it—as fully as possible. Marcia uses an approach that includes Three in one Concepts. In essence this means that the mind and body work together to choose rather than react when stress inevitably appears. […]
